Human Development: Early Childhood Education (PreK-2): Bachelor's Degree

Merrimack College’s School of Education & Social Policy offers dynamic, responsive, and focused programs that prepare and support individuals to be thoughtful, passionate, and competent teachers, educational leaders, community workers and engaged citizens. The Human Development major accommodates students with interests in a variety of human service studies, including but not limited to, Education and Psychology. The Human Development major is a perfect choice for students wishing to gain an understanding of development across the lifespan and provides a solid foundation for students interested in graduate programs and/or future careers in education, human services and social sciences. This major is strongly encouraged for those students interested in becoming early childhood or elementary education teachers. Human Development is truly an interdisciplinary major – student will take courses in Education, Psychology, and courses across the Liberal Arts and Sciences.
