Early Childhood Education - Associate of Arts

Urban College of Boston offers an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  This program combines practical experience with the theoretical knowledge needed to obtain positions working with young children in a variety of institutional and agency settings.

The Early Education Research, Policy and Practice is a post-master's certificate program that offeres an advanced graduate course of study focused on research, policy, leadership, and data-driven practice in early education and care. 

Early Childhood - MEd

College: 

UMass Boston offers two MEd programs in early childhood education: 1) Master's of Education in Early Childhood--Teacher of Children With and Without Disabilities Pre-K-2- Initial Licensure and 2) Master's of Education in Early Childhood--Community Professional (Non Licensure).

Early Education and Care in Inclusive Programs - Bachelor Degree

College: 

The Early Education and Care in Inclusive Settings (EECIS) program is an undergraduate major that combines academic theory and professional knowledge and competencies for individuals who intend to work with children from birth through age 8 and their families.   

Early Child Development Institute

Individual Professional Development opportunities are offered through the Early Child Development Institute (ECI).  These opportunities are offered for credit and non-credit for staff currently employed in early care and education programs.

Certificate in Early Childhood Development with Child Development Associate Credential

The Certificate in Early Childhood Development with Child Development Associate Credential program prepares students as teachers and/or lead teachers in the State of Massachusetts.

Certificate of Early Childhood Development
